Richard Doe - CEO

Richard was appointed CEO in September 2010. Prior to this he was Marketing Director primarily focusing on savings strategy and had responsibility for product development, advertising, customer communications, and business intelligence.

Before joining ING Direct in 2004, Richard worked for several financial institutions in a marketing capacity including Legal & General, Barclays and The Woolwich.

Feike Brouwers - Chief Financial Officer

Feike is responsible for company-wide financial management, delivering ING Direct's financial objectives both at a strategic and operational level and leading his team to provide the efficient production of financial results and reporting.

He joined ING Group in 1997 following several years at Price Waterhouse. He has nearly 20 years experience in financial management, strategic planning, risk management and preparing analysis and valuations of acquisition candidates. Feike worked at both ING Direct HO and as CFO of ING Direct France before joining the UK.

Pam Rowland - Chief Operating Officer

Pam Rowland is Chief Operating Officer for ING Direct and her responsibilities include customer service and sales, operations and company wide change management.

She joined ING Direct in 2002 as part of the start up team and has held a number of roles including Operations Director and Mortgage Director. Prior to joining ING Direct, Pam was Director of Business Services at Marlborough Stirling Mortgage Services; and has over 20 years experience in leading business teams and change programmes in financial services companies including HBOS and Winterthur Life.

Julian Hartley - Mortgage Director

Julian is the Mortgage Director at ING Direct in the UK. His responsibilities include mortgage acquisition, sales, service and retention. The primary focus of the role is to deliver great mortgage products together with a consistent and outstanding customer experience for our borrowers. The role focuses on understanding customer needs and designing solutions that satisfy all the regulatory requirements whilst making it simple and straightforward for our customers to open and manage their mortgage with ING Direct UK.

Julian Hartley joined ING Direct shortly after its launch in 2003 and during this time has taken responsibility for Sales, Customer Service, Operations and now our Insurance proposition and Mortgages.

Prior to joining ING Direct Julian ran his own business providing call centre consultancy to clients such as Sainsburys, 3, Scottish Power and ING Direct. His career has spanned a variety of marketing, sales and customer service functions working with household names including The Post Office, Disney, The Telegraph and O2.

Kate Banks - HR Director

Kate joined ING Direct as Human Resources Director in June 2011. Her key focus is to drive business performance by delivering HR strategies which continue to engage our people and ensures we live our Orange values.

Kate has an MA in Human Resources and has extensive experience in HR having previously worked as HR Director for Invensys Rail Northern Europe and before that AXA and Tesco. Her areas of HR specialism are Talent and Leadership and Employee Engagement and she has a passionate belief that the right leadership is key to success in any organization.

Jeremy Fraser -Legal and Compliance Director

Jeremy joined ING Direct in February 2010

Jeremy joined ING Direct directly from the Scottish Law Firm Brodies, where he was a Partner specialising in Banking and Financial Services including FSA regulatory law. Whilst at Brodies he was the main legal adviser for ING Direct and he headed up the legal team advising us on the acquisition of the retail deposits from Kaupthing Edge and Heritable Bank.

Jeremy brings with him a broad range of expertise from within the Banking and Financial Services sector, having worked for several years at Lloyds TSB where he was FSA Approved Person for Compliance Oversight and Head of Legal Services & Company Secretary for Lloyds TSB Scotland plc and Assistant Head of Legal Services, Lloyds TSB Bank plc.

Des McDaid - Savings Director

Des is the Savings Director at ING Direct UK and oversees the day to day running of our Savings products. He is responsible for ensuring we offer our customers great savings products, whilst delivering on our values of ease, simplicity and transparency.

He joined ING Direct in 2003 as part of the launch team and has held a number of roles including Head of Business Intelligence, Head of Marketing Communications and Head of Customer and Product Management. Prior to joining ING Direct, Des worked for NatWest and Coutts and Co primarily in marketing and strategy positions

Mark Mullington - Chief Risk Officer

As Chief Risk Officer, Mark has responsibility for the credit, operational and market risk functions of the Bank. He comes to IDUK from ING Direct in Australia, where he was CFO. Mark has been with ING Group for over 18 years, during which time he has had a number of jobs, including in marketing, operations, finance and risk. He also spent some time as head of Risk Management in Canada.
