Below is a summary of the levels of buildings cover you get as standard with ING Direct Home Insurance.

| Alternative accommodation or loss of rent | up to 20% of your buildings sum insured | |||
| Accidental damage to underground pipes and cables | up to buildings sum insured and up to £5,000 towards the necessary costs in locating the source of the damage | |||
| Accidental breakage of fixed glass in windows and bathroom fittings | up to buildings sum insured |
You can also choose to add additional Buildings Accidental Damage to your cover.
Your buildings are covered against the following events:
- fire, smoke, lightning and earthquakes
- storms, falling trees and floods
- subsidence
- theft, malicious acts, riots
- collision with vehicles or animals
- collapse of aerials or satellite dishes
