Important information about compensation arrangements
We are part of ING Direct N.V. which is based in The Netherlands. Most depositors are covered by the Dutch Central Bank's Deposit Guarantee Scheme, (known as the Deposit Guarantee Scheme) which is also based in The Netherlands.
This means that if our bank is unable to meet its financial obligations, our eligible UK depositors would be entitled to claim up to €100,000 (£81,873.67 as at 01 May 2012*) per depositor from the Dutch Central Bank's Deposit Guarantee Scheme.
